Good interview about shit that matters.

I was really worried the first time they showed this game and I saw ledges, grabs, and shields. Those three things make Smash Bros extremely defensive and have historically caused very controversial camping and stalling “playstyles”.

Rivals 1 omitted all three speeding up everything and making you think harder about characters more creative recovery and defense options. But they seem to understand what made that so appealing and are trying to make shields grabs and ledges not bullshit. So lovely.

Rivals 1 is the only fighter I can tolerate and I love this universe they’ve got. So I’m very very excited.
